Important news about Rugby Driving Lesson - Lockdown 2

Image
It's very disappointed not to be able to bring you any news about the date of return to driving lesson in Rugby and the surrounds areas, or even how the tiers will affect lessons and tests.  Driving Craft is expecting to have further guidance by Monday but unfortunately there is no dialogue from the DVSA about when an update will be issued to the public and driving school alike. Driving Craft realise how this affects you and as such we have personally expressed our concern to the DVSA.  There are only a few days before the national lockdown ends and we appreciate that you need to know when your driving lessons will restart and if any restrictions will be in force, especially how the new tougher tier system would affect driving lesson going forward to 2021. Driving Craft, as always, let you know immediately when there's a response.

The second 'Lockdown' is looming but what does it mean for driving lessons. What do the rules say?

I completely understand that learners will be wanting information on whether driving tests will be cancelled through-out the proposed period. The current government guidelines clearly and currently allow for driving lessons and driving test to continue and for this reason and until told otherwise, Driving Craft will continue to provide driving tuition and get learners to test. That being said, in the coming days there's likely to be a statement or at the very least an official response to the latest government lockdown from the DVSA. This may be to follow the lockdown or there may be further guidelines allowing for lessons to continue; all of which is just mere speculation and a sprinkling of hope that we can continue to lead a normal life. The role of a Driving Instructor and the business of a Driving School has almost been decimated and sadly for some their business hasn't even made it through. Rugby Driving Schools are no different than the rest of the UK, in that we are all working towards a safe working and learning environment. So how do we work safely during Covid-19? The answer's is simple, and the actions required, very straightforward to implement. The challenge, if you could call it a challenge, is the adjustment required to our daily and weekly teaching schedules.  These have been impacted heavily upon with new cleaning and detailing regimes now required, both for us as well as our vehicles. On 11th May 2020 the UK Government published a document which would allow business to operate from a vehicle, titled  "Working Safely During Covid-19, In
